What this site does
The Tokyo Base Finder is free. You answer six questions and it suggests a base — the neighbourhood to stay in — along with experiences near it. It is a suggestion tool, not a booking service: nothing is reserved here, and no account is created.
Suggestions, not guarantees
Tokyo changes. Places close, lines are rerouted, a street that was quiet last year may not be this year. We keep the content as current as we can, but we don’t guarantee it is accurate or complete on the day you travel. Check opening times and routes before you rely on them — the trip you book stays your decision.
Your result link
A result is saved for 180 days behind a long, unguessable link. Anyone holding that link can open the result, so treat it as something you share rather than something private. After 180 days the link stops working and the stored answers are deleted.
Hotel links
Hotel links on a result open a search on Trip.com, and we may earn a commission from a booking made there — see the Affiliate disclosure. Any booking is a contract between you and Trip.com or the hotel, not with us, and their terms apply to it.
Fair use
Use the site as a traveller would. Don’t scrape it, overload it, or republish its guide text as your own. The text, routes and recommendations here belong to クモフネ合同会社（KUMOFUNE LLC）; your own result is yours to use and share for your trip.
Paid products
Nothing on this site is for sale yet. When a paid guide goes on sale, the Commercial disclosure page and the purchase terms shown at checkout will apply to it in addition to these terms.
Liability
The Finder is free and provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, クモフネ合同会社（KUMOFUNE LLC） is not liable for loss arising from travel decisions made with it — a venue that had closed, a connection missed, a stay that disappointed. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it. Japanese law governs these terms, with the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance. Questions go to kumofune@gmail.com.
